Spring has sure flown by. We had a wonderful visit from Grandpa and MOD for Easter. The girls enjoyed making huge candy filled egg shaped cookies and coloring eggs for Easter morning. They were both excited on easter morning to find eggs, candy and small toys hidden downstairs. It was so nice to have Easter dinner with Grandpa and MOD and we all had a great time visiting.
The girls have enjoyed their umbrellas and rain boots on some of those April shower days ;).
They both love going fishing with Pat. Chloe was so excited to catch a catfish at liberty park that was about 15 inches long and loved eating it for dinner that night, Brooke on the other hand wasn't interested in trying it ;). We've tried a few different fishing spots and continue to look for new ones to try out. Brooke loves to look for worms for fishing and helps pick them up and put them in the bucket, Chloe just likes to watch this part though.
We also did another 1 mile run with Chloe's friend Leah. Both girls did an awesome job running the whole time and Chloe did her fastest mile to date of 10 minutes and 20 seconds.
Both girls help get the garden ready for planting and help put in some of the seeds and plants. We are trying to grow garlic, carrots, green beans, cucumber, zucchini, tomatoes, peppers, basil and cilantro. It is now strawberry season in middle Tennessee. We found a nice strawberry farm and picked 12 pounds of strawberries. The girls were a big help making strawberry jam and helped with all the steps from start to finish :). We had a lot of strawberries left over to make yummy strawberry desserts and share some strawberries with neighbors. It has been a very nice and fun filled spring :)
