New years Day we headed to one of our favorite beaches that we hadn't been to in quite some time, Kaena point. We had a wonderful morning there playing the the tide pool and looking for shells which we found a breaking number of for our shell hunting history, and those of you that have visited know it's not easy to find shells on the beaches here... the grand total was 65 cowry, 20 cone, 9 Drupes and many others of different types, it was so much fun cleaning and counting them! we kept many of them but I also brought 35 cowry to Chloe's teach for her class to do a craft with.

New Year's Eve & New Years Day
We went over my friend Liz's house on New years eve, she had gotten noise makers, hats and plastic glasses for the sparkling cider. The kids had fun playing and doing pop-it's and confetti pops while we waited and the best part is we celebrated and watched the ball drop in new york then called it a night and it was 7:15 Hawaii time which was great for the kids :)
