New Year's Eve & New Years Day

We went over my friend Liz's house on New years eve, she had gotten noise makers, hats and plastic glasses for the sparkling cider. The kids had fun playing and doing pop-it's and confetti pops while we waited and the best part is we celebrated and watched the ball drop in new york then called it a night and it was 7:15 Hawaii time which was great for the kids :)
New years Day we headed to one of our favorite beaches that we hadn't been to in quite some time, Kaena point. We had a wonderful morning there playing the the tide pool and looking for shells which we found a breaking number of for our shell hunting history, and those of you that have visited know it's not easy to find shells on the beaches here... the grand total was 65 cowry, 20 cone, 9 Drupes and many others of different types, it was so much fun cleaning and counting them! we kept many of them but I also brought 35 cowry to Chloe's teach for her class to do a craft with.

Christmas

We all woke up bright and early some before 5 but all were awake by 5 when we all opened our stockings together then enjoyed our fried dough breakfast ( Brooke was not a fan) After cleaning up we started to open presents Chloe wanted to open the biggest first (go figure) We had gotten her a 20 inch bike. Brooke really enjoyed handing out the gifts as well as opening them. Everyone enjoyed the outdoors while Chloe tested out the bike. We had 2 good friends and their families over for Christmas dinner it was a long but great day!

Fun in the month of December

The girls had lots of fun during december, they both really loved going for christmas light walks around the neighborhood and Chloe found a new favorite this year about 1/4 mile from our house, with tons of lights and music best of all they put out folding chair for you to watch the show (sorry I didn't get pictures of this one), we also enjoy the decoration at the kapolei city hall, and a neighborhood in kapolei, doing lots of crafts to include a gingerbread house, baking and ornaments. We also parted with the outdoor penguin decorations to a friend and received special penguin cookies in return. Chloe and I had our second annual date to the nutcracker and both had a fun time. Chloe even meet santa at Pat work Christmas party! We had a great time as a family and with our friends during the whole month!
