Back to school

Chloe was excited to go back to school. This year she is in Kindergarten and her teacher is Miss Escalante. We started the morning off with special pumpkin muffins with whip cream. Chloe likes being silly for the camera these days and makes some crazy faces. She is most excited about learning to read, love this girl! :)

Grandpa & MOD

The girls had a blast when Grandpa and MOD came to visit and warmed up to them very quickly. We had fun playing at home, going to the duck pond and to Ko'Olina. It was so wonderful for Pat and I as they offered to stay with the girls while we spent 2 nights on Maui. Chloe's favorite thing while we were away was crafts with MOD and Grandpa's cooking, chloe made a treasure box and crown for craft time. We of coarse missed the girls but had so much fun doing a scenic drive around west Maui and getting back in the water after a few year break with 2 dives with a charter their. I'll include a few Maui pictures for those interested :)

Summer 2013

We sure kept busy over the summer. The 4th of july we celebrated at home with some little poppers that Chloe loved and so did Brooke followed by a yummy BBQ. We did several beach trip and both girls love the water and sand. One of our beach outings was with some co-workers of Pat's over on the windward side at the beautiful lanikai beach, all the kids had a blast! We also went to the zoo, waimea valley falls and bishop museum to see their dinosaurs exhibit. It was a nice summer but went by very quickly!

Butterflies

At one of the local malls they have an exhibit of butterflies this summer, they have caterpillars, cocoons and the butterflies in a little green house like building both girls enjoyed it and Chloe got to make a butterfly craft as well. Inside the exhibit the butterflies liked the bright pink flowers on my bag :) Glad we got to get to this exhibit :)

Likeke Falls

We had a family hike to Likeke falls in the kaneohe area over memorial day weekend. It was a very nice kid's hike about 1/2 mile each way so Chloe did a great job. Brooke even walked the first few hundred feet before the trail became muddy and narrow. Pat and Chloe especially liked exploring the falls and climbing some rocks testing out throwing things in the falls to watch them go down the falls, it was a nice morning :)
