Brooke turns 4

It's hard to believe but little Brooke is getting to be a big girl and has turned 4! She is full of energy and personality. She loves to talk, make lots of silly faces and loves to help mommy. We spent her special day doing things she enjoys like going to a silly song and book class, pool time for just Brooke and mommy, finishing her ladybug birthday cake and going out for dinner. On the weekend we went to an indoor kids play area which the girls had a blast at. They loved the hand crank powered train cars, climbing & slides and bungee jumper.

January 2016

A new year brought us some snow of our own in Tennessee :). One week we started the week off with a small 3 inch storm and a few days later it was followed by a bigger storm that gave us about 7 inches. Chloe got 4 snow days from the 2 storms as the schools down here like to play it very safe on the road conditions ;). The girls loved all the snow fun and Brooke started to enjoy herself for longer periods of time outside. We made snowmen, threw snow balls and the favorite past time was sledding. There is a empty house lot just down the street that was the best hill we found :). Chloe made a new friend (Leah) that moved into the neighborhood from a different area of town. They love playing most everyday together and bonded almost immediately :). We Joined the local Y and have loved our time there. They have a nice pool area to include a little kiddie slide for lots of water fun, a rock wall for kids age 6-12, an indoor track, and lots of workout equipment. The have childcare rooms for Brooke while Chloe and I have some bonging time together running, biking and rowing :) After some working out we all enjoy the pool together :)

December 2015

We enjoyed lots of family time in this month. Grammy came out for a wonderful visit and we did a early Christmas together. The girls enjoyed making gingerbread cookies, and a gingerbread train. We also visited the river district to check out their holiday lights. The lights were beautiful and the pictures don't do them justice it was a lovely evening :). Chloe was part of the church christmas play and did an awesome job remembering her part. For Christmas this year we headed home for time with family. We loved our time at all of our stops. At Grandpa and MoD's we had lots of fun playing games, visiting salisbury beach, Joe's play land, making poppin' cookie' with Auntie Eileen. The girls loved making gingerbread houses from graham crackers. We also spent Christmas eve together starting it off with the traditional fried dough breakfast :). We were able to stop by & visit Gram on Christmas eve and had a fun time visiting. We spent Christmas and a few days at Nana & Mountain Grampa's, we had fun wrapping presents, making santa's cookies, going to a wonderful Christmas eve service and having Christmas day with the whole family. After Christmas was time for the cousins, they kids had a blast together! We were even blessed with a snow day and this was Brooke's first experience with snow and it had been since Chloe was  1 1/2 since she saw the white stuff. They had fun throwing snowballs, doing snow angels and a bit of sledding. Brooke's experience was a little shorter as she adjusts from her Hawaiian roots but enjoyed the time she played in it. Our Last Stop was Reanna's house. We had a great day together with continued snow fun. The kids had a lot of fun playing together and visiting, so many memories made in December :)
