Chloe turns 8

Chloe was so excited counting down for her birthday to come. I don't know where the time has gone and can't believe my little girl is now 8. Chloe was so excited to get the doll she had been wanting for  a while and has named her Skye. She had her birthday off from school for a teacher's planning day. We made cupcakes to bring to her class the following day, went out to lunch and did paint your own pottery Chloe picked an owl and Brooke did a dog. The Saturday following her birthday we celebrated with her friends Sam and Sha'taria by going to the peanuts movie and cupcakes at home :)

Fall 2015

Things have continued to keep us very busy. We are settled into our home and the area. Chloe is doing well at her new school and enjoying it. The girls and I attended the princess ball, which was essential a meet and greet of some of the disney princesses. Both girls were excited to meet Elsa from frozen. We've had a nice visit from Grandpa & MOD and Grammie. We've even had a chance to venture a bit further out of the area and take a family weekend to the Great smoky mountains. The scenery was beautiful there and the girls loved the fireplace in the room. We visited the aquarium there that was very nice and had a huge tunnel walk through under the shark and large fish tank. The girls loved the interactive exhibits of touching the horse crabs, sting rays and getting your hands "cleaned" by little guppies. We also went to the indoor waterpark there, Brooke's favorite was doing laps on the lazy river and Chloe loved the 2 biggest water slides.
The girls are also starting to learn how to fish with daddy and enjoy going to the Nashville zoo.
For halloween the girls each picked out their jack o lanterns face. Chloe also drew it on her pumpkin and helped scoop the seeds out, Brooke wasn't a big fan of the goopy insides ;) so mommy did hers. The girls dressed as the frozen sisters, Chloe was Elsa and Brooke was Anna. We did some trick or treating in the neighborhood then headed home to hand out candy.
We've also visited home depot and the girls did their first kid's craft. I was quite impressed the girls did the hammer and nails almost all by themselves. They each made an Army plane
