Time with Grammie

Martha came out to visit and help while we waited for Brooke's arrival and afterwards while we adjusted to the new addition. We even got out one day when Brooke was about 2 weeks to a paint your own pottery place that Chloe enjoyed. Chloe also enjoyed a new found love for fancy nancy things that Grammie got her :)

Since Chloe is now a big sister we decided to let her have more responsibility and let her pick out a fish for her new pet. She picked out a beta fish and named her Goldie. she has done a great job taking care of her and remembering to fed her each day. I've included the picture I took and the ones Chloe took with my camera :) they came out pretty well!

Brooke's 1st's

We had a lot of firsts for Brooke, first trip out of the house (not including her first follow-up) when we went to target, first birthday party, first smile, first trip to the beach, first time out to eat & first time to church :). It's been a wonderful few weeks with her and I'm trying to take it all in since time flies. She is a sweet and well loved little baby, and we are blessed to have her!

Brooke's Arrival

It's very exciting Brooke has made her arrival into our world. I woke up on Friday morning at 1:45 am with early labor pains, a little after 4 Pat and I went for a long walk around the neighborhood, then took a nice shower, after that the active labor started and we headed to the hospital arriving there just before 8. Brooke arrived after a non-medicated vaginal delivery @ 1122 am. She weighs 8 pounds 11 ounces and was 22 inches long! Chloe is so excited and has been such a wonderful big sister, She loves holding Brooke, giving kisses and helping get supplies for Brooke when needed. We stayed in the hospital just over 24 hours and are enjoying being home now. We are now being showered with love from family and friends with beautiful flowers and yummy food for dinners. We are all loving having Brooke here with us and enjoying this time together! :)
