News

Well we have exciting news to tell everyone... we are expecting #2 on the 31st of January. We had a check-up last week and the baby's heartbeat on the doppler check was great! Chloe is excited about the news and was told on the day of the check-up once we heard the heartbeat. She just smiled at first but as the day went on asked some questions like when is your belly going to get big, is it a boy or girl, where will the baby sit and even reminded me not to forget to feed the baby :)

I'm now 16 weeks and feeling good. Chloe is still very excited and can't wait to be a big Sister and wanted to be in the picture :) I've started to slow down and have stopped running and now walk at stroller strides.

Time sure is going quickly and I'm 22 weeks. We've had 2 ultrasounds and it's a girl!! :) She is healthy and growing well. I'm feeling well and staying active and continue to instruct stroller strides twice a week. Chloe continues to be very excited about the baby and really happy it's a girl as said by Chloe "just what I wanted" so cute :)

The pregnancy belly is growing bigger these days (I'm now 29 weeks) and I'm starting to slow down a bit. Starting in December I will start teaching one day a week instead of two. I've had another ultrasound to check on Brooke's growth and she is growing well. At 28 weeks she is 3 pounds 1 ounce. Check out the newest belly photo from today (11-15-11)

I'm now 35 weeks and staying active. I had my last day of instructing for stroller strides last week but plan on continuing to take class three times a week until Brooke arrives :) It had been 6 weeks since the last ultrasound and they wanted to check and make sure Brooke was still growing well and she sure is!!! They did the measurements three times and it remained the same she is around 7 pounds at 34 weeks, lets hope they are off or she comes a little early, otherwise at full term that would be around 10 pounds! Regardless she seems to be very healthy and strong (lots of kicking and movement) so that is what matters the most :)

Lanikai Pillbox Hike

We decided to head out for a little hike on the windward side of the island today. It's easy to say this was not Chloe's favorite thing we've done. The dirt path was very dry and had some loose patches to slip on and some rocky sections to climb. Chloe prefers ballet and staying clean everytime she stumbled she became really upset. But we did it! :) We hiked up the ridge to 2 different WWII bunkers (referred to as pillboxes) the views were beautiful and had a nice breeze most of the time. We enjoyed our snack and drinks on top of the second bunker before heading back down. I was proud of Chloe for finishing but hope next time there will be less whining about dirt :)

Grandpa & Mod Visit 2011

We had a wonderful visit with Grandpa and MOD they came in on July 8th. Chloe had several trips to the playground in the neighborhood. Visited the duck pond over in Koneohe. Visited the Kahala Resort for a beautiful view while we had a delicious dinner. The resort was very nice and had a lagoon with a few dolphins and another pool area with fish and a sting ray. The morning at the north shore was nice, Waimea bay had no waves Chloe loved her time in the water there. Of coarse we had to stop for shaved ice while on the north shore and yummy as always. We ended the trip with a afternoon/evening in Waikiki. Walking around and a great dinner and table at the shore bird bistro. It was a nice visit and look forward to the next one :)

4th of July

We went to Pearl Harbor again this year and had a wonderful evening there. We met-up with some friends from Stroller Strides for the show. There was a lot for the Kids to do. Free horse rides (this year Chloe rode the regular horse instead of the pony and loved it!) Mini golf, bounce houses, a few rides and games. It all ended with the great fireworks show. Chloe really had a nice time :)

Aquarium

In June the USO sponsored a free military day at the waikiki Aquarium. Chloe and I had a great morning there. They even had a table of toys for each child to pick one from. Chloe fell in love with the mickey plush. Mickey then proceed to get a Chloe guided tour of the Aquarium. He posed by the "nemo" tank and other fish Chloe liked.
