Chloe had a great time helping get ready for Daddy's birthday. She loved pouring the cake mix in the bowl, all all the other ingredients, along with cracking the eggs (I fished out the pieces of shell that feel in). The hardest part was waiting for daddy to come home so we could eat the cake! She even practiced singing happy birthday (her version) but was a little shy on the spot.

Other big island fun
We took a tour around the Hilo area and saw a beautiful bay (onomea), Hilo harbor, rainbow and Akaka falls, moana loa macademia nut farm and visitor center and big island candies, along with the downtown area of Hilo and an orchid grower. Chloe Loved Akaka falls the best because she got to walk the 1/2 mile or so loop around to the falls
Big island Beaches
We visited two very unique beaches while on the big island. The black sands that are crushed up volcanic rocks and a green sands (also a light olive color). The green sands was an adventure and took the south point road off their main road that circles the island for about 10 more miles then parked and found out from a local fisherman it was 1 1/2 mile walk down the coast trial. So we set off and I carried Chloe well it was more like 3 miles but who's counting. Pat arrived first and was so excited by how amazing it was and came running back to us. It sure was a site and the pictures do it no justice. There was only about 6 other people there and the sand was silky soft, we had a adventure that's for sure!

2nd Birthday
Wow it sure has been a busy birthday. The day before Chloe's birthday she opened all but a few gifts including her little scooter. She loved all the nice gifts she was given by everyone, thank-you so much to everyone! The next day (her real birthday) we flew to the big island to stay in the national volcano park. Chloe had her first ride (at the ripe age of 2) helicopter ride and tour of the volcano (I'll make a separate post for those pictures). She loved it for about 15 minutes then liked it so much she took a little nap! That evening she had a carrot cake, balloon and a few more gifts then went to bed. It was a very nice day and great Daddy had the whole day off!
First trip to the Zoo
We headed to the honolulu zoo with grandpa and this was Chloe's first time to a zoo! Chloe had so much fun and it was so nice that most exhibits had a little step up for kids to use and be able to see better. We saw tons of animals and it's hard to say which one was her favorite I like they all were!!
Halloween Day
We had lots of fun and Grandpa was able to join in for all the fun since he arrived the night before. Chloe helped carve the pumpkin by pulling out some seeds. Afterwards we walked to the closest neighborhood park were Chloe played with neighbors and got to decorate a little pumpkin to keep. Once it got dark all the families headed out for trick or treat we went to about 15 houses and Chloe got lots of candy mostly for mom and Dad but did get some crackers and M&M that she will be able to have. Her favorite part of the night was knocking on the doors and as she was doing so she would say knock-knock
Stroller strides Halloween class
The mom/baby exercise class had extra plans on the day before halloween. The kids all wore their costumes and after class they played games and recieved little prizes. There was a pumpkin pinyta, musical pumpkins, pin the nose on the pumpkin and bean bag toss into the cut out pumpkin eyes and nose. Chloe had a lot of fun!
