First Haircut

Well the time had come, I've been debating cutting Chloe's hair for a month or more and I did it this morning. Her bangs where getting long well into her eyes and the hairclips only survive a short time in her hair before she pulls them out. So I cut her bangs today and she seemed to like it, we looked in the mirror together and I asked if she liked her new haircut and she said YES!

Makapuu Lighthouse

We did a little hike with the mom's group to a lighthouse on the other side of the island. There were some nice views of the ocean and the lighthouse from the top view point. We also had a surprise encounter about 1/2 way up the trail the show LOST was fliming, the set was facing the ocean so we couldn't see it but lots of workers and even got to see the actor that plays Hurley, I got a picture of his back. I felt like a crazy fan when I saw him!

Dole pineapple plantation

Yesterday we headed out with our new friends Heidi and her 2 kids Toby (same age as Chloe) and Emma (3 1/2) to check out the pineapple plantation. We saw several varieties that are grown in different parts of the world, had a train ride around some of the plantation where we saw many different crops like bananas, starfruit, sugar cane and of coarse pineapples. We also tried their pineapple soft serve ice cream which was a little tart but still yummy!

United Way 5K (3.1 miles)

Today Chloe and I completed our second 5K since arriving here in Hawaii. Chloe was a good racer and we finished with a good time and placed first in our age division. Lots of moms from exercise class also ran, some with their strollers and some without.

Pumpkin Patch

Today we headed out with the moms group to aloun farms pumpkin patch. Chloe seemed to have a great time, there was a quick safety/ educational talk followed by a hayride then to the pumpkin patch to pick one to take home. It was very warm (sunny and 88) but it was a lot of fun. Chloe had a good time on the hayride and liked sitting on the big pumpkins. She helped pick a pumpkin out and even tried to pick it up to carry it but it was too heavy. It was a fun outing today!

Halloween gift

Chloe was so excited when a box came yesterday. It was a halloween gift from Nana & Grampa. As I opened it she saw the purse and exclaimed WOW! and it had little accessories like play lipstick & a mirror compact in it was she examined each she again said wow! She had so much fun carrying it around and has filled it to capacity with other little toys.
