Maunawili Falls

We had a family trip to the Kailua on the windward side of the island to some falls over there. It was a very pretty walk through the rainforest type of setting to the falls. It was very muddy and slippery (even now in the dry season, so I would hate to see it in the wet season). We had to cross the small river several times so I was glad Pat had Chloe because I have poor balance and he did great will her not falling in at all! The Falls were smaller than the last we visited but still very nice. Chloe enjoyed the very start of the trail the most since she got to walk on her own. She is starting to really enjoy going on short walks in the neighborhood.

Swim Buddy

I am trying to become a stronger swimmer since we are doing lots of water activities. A fellow fit mom who just did her first triathlon want to swim more also. So we take turns at the lagoon swimming across while the other mom watches the kids. It's been challenging so far but I hope will get easier in a few more weeks. Chloe and Patrick have seemed to have a lot of fun at the beach and Chloe likes all the extra toys that appear when a friend comes along!

Kai & Mia

Our friend's from Kansas Aya & Sam are visiting the island and we met today at the lagoon and came back to the house to eat luch afterward. Kai and Chloe had lots of fun at the beach in the water and digging in the sand. At the house Chloe got to hold Mia and was beaming from the experience. She was worried about Mia even during lunch and was looking over towards her and saying baby

Neighborhood park

Chloe is becoming more active and advancing her skills. She just started to hang and swing a little from the bar above the slide and the other evening climbed up this arch thing. She loves to run across the bridge again and again

Chocolate!!

Chloe helped her self to the food cabinet and the semi sweet bakers chocolate and loved it. I didn't have the heart to take it away. Since then she has made several attempts to get it again but no luck

manoa falls

On labor day we got to do a little family hike in manoa valley to the falls. I carried Chloe in the carrier and we had a great time. The forest is so enormous and pictures do not give it justice. the path was rocky and a little slippery but no falls occured! Chloe thought it was all very nice and even said the word Bamboo as after we pointed out the bamboo forest we were walking through.
