monkey toy

One of the noise making toys was sent by Pat's father. It's a monkey, his tail spins around making him roll around on the floor, it laughs while doing this and has a motion sensor so any time you go near him he will start to laugh and roll around again. Chloe is not so sure about this, at times she likes him and others not so much. At one point she was running around with a towel trying to throw it on him to cover him up, it was really funny to watch

Christmas

We had a wonderful day together relaxing and watching Chloe open and play with her gifts. We had the golden traditional fried dough breakfast and then opened gifts. Chloe loved them and and was so fun to see her open them and say WOW! She has played a lot with her kitchen and all the fun accessories. She also loves the singing and noise making toys that family sent!

Christmas Parade

On saturday We took Chloe to 2 parades one during the day and the other once it got dark out. Chloe had so much fun and started to wave at all the people as they walked by. Our favorite was the nighttime light parade they had decorated buses, 18 wheelers, firetrucks and floats with lights and much more. Chloe is such a ham at times as it was starting she was on Pat's shoulders with her sunglasses and had some funny faces. She also loved the music and did some dancing as the music went past us!

Holiday Train

Last night we took Chloe to the mall that has a little holiday train. She absolutely loved it. She was such a big girl and rode be herself and seemed to love all of the giant decoration as she rode by them, it was a lot of fun to watch her take it all in.

Christmas Tree

We put up our tree the other day. Sadly it's our first time using a fake one but once we moved all the branches around it looks pretty. Chloe had so much fun decorating the tree. The lower part of the tree is all ordaments Chloe can look at and play with. This is the section of the tree she decorated. She kept running back and forth want to put more on the tree. Once she was done many branches had a few ordaments, it was so cute

Pat's Birthday

Chloe had a great time helping get ready for Daddy's birthday. She loved pouring the cake mix in the bowl, all all the other ingredients, along with cracking the eggs (I fished out the pieces of shell that feel in). The hardest part was waiting for daddy to come home so we could eat the cake! She even practiced singing happy birthday (her version) but was a little shy on the spot.

Luau with Grandpa

Pat and his father went to their first luau (Chloe and I went also but this was not our first). We had a great evening of eating and entertainment. We even saw the emu that the pig was roasted in for about 12 hours for that night's feast. Chloe loved the music and dancing as she always does!

Other big island fun

We took a tour around the Hilo area and saw a beautiful bay (onomea), Hilo harbor, rainbow and Akaka falls, moana loa macademia nut farm and visitor center and big island candies, along with the downtown area of Hilo and an orchid grower. Chloe Loved Akaka falls the best because she got to walk the 1/2 mile or so loop around to the falls

Big island Beaches

We visited two very unique beaches while on the big island. The black sands that are crushed up volcanic rocks and a green sands (also a light olive color). The green sands was an adventure and took the south point road off their main road that circles the island for about 10 more miles then parked and found out from a local fisherman it was 1 1/2 mile walk down the coast trial. So we set off and I carried Chloe well it was more like 3 miles but who's counting. Pat arrived first and was so excited by how amazing it was and came running back to us. It sure was a site and the pictures do it no justice. There was only about 6 other people there and the sand was silky soft, we had a adventure that's for sure!

Helicoter ride

It was an amazing ride seeing the volcano activity from above!

2nd Birthday

Wow it sure has been a busy birthday. The day before Chloe's birthday she opened all but a few gifts including her little scooter. She loved all the nice gifts she was given by everyone, thank-you so much to everyone! The next day (her real birthday) we flew to the big island to stay in the national volcano park. Chloe had her first ride (at the ripe age of 2) helicopter ride and tour of the volcano (I'll make a separate post for those pictures). She loved it for about 15 minutes then liked it so much she took a little nap! That evening she had a carrot cake, balloon and a few more gifts then went to bed. It was a very nice day and great Daddy had the whole day off!
